Chancellor Rebecca Blank will talk with campus and community members about the future of the University of Wisconsin-Madison at the 2013 Fall Roundtable Series kick-off Wednesday.
In Blank’s presentation, titled “UW-Madison: A Tradition Of Excellence, A Future Of Continued Innovation,” she will examine her vision of preparing this generation with the skills necessary to succeed in the world’s changing economy, and about upholding the university’s role as a leader in research and innovation.
Other upcoming events in the Roundtable series will include a discussion with Derek Hei, director of the Waisman Biomanufacturing Center, Nov. 20 titled “From Discovery to Marketplace: Working to Develop a More Efficient Drug Development System at Waisman Biomanufacturing.”
On Dec. 11, the Roundtable will showcase short works for the holiday season from UW-Madison’s Theatre & Drama Department.
The programs are open to members of the campus community and their guests. The reservation deadline is one week prior to each event.
The series of talks will be from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Varsity Hall, Union South. The cost is $10 and includes a buffet lunch.
