The University of Wisconsin-Madison Police Department is asking for the campus community’s help in identifying a woman who stole a piece of artwork from Union South.

Union South staff reported the theft to UWPD Friday after they noticed the 9x12 inch painting was missing from a wall in the 1308 Gallery. The artwork is valued at $700 and is believed to have been stolen between Nov. 15 and Nov. 20.

UWPD captured the act on a security camera, and a photo of the suspect is available with the news release.

Please call UWPD at (608) 264-COPS with any information about this crime or the identity of the suspect.
