The Associated Students of Madison Student Services Finance Committee approved the $154,078.46 SSFC 2014-’15 internal budget in a unanimous decision Thursday.
“It is important to treat ourselves like we treat other groups,” SSFC Rep. Devon Maier said.
SSFC also voted for the second time to approve the Recreational Sports Master Plan Referendum, which required approval at two SSFC sessions. Students can expect to take a vote during the ASM spring election. If they approve the referendum, segregated fees will increase for students to renovate campus recreational facilities.
“It’s our money going to facilities we are using,” Maier said.
Rep. Maier was elected as the new SSFC secretary and is replacing Dylan Fieldler.
Maier said he planned to “try to keep up the amazing secretary skills.”
