President Barack Obama will address the American public Tuesday night in his 2014 State of the Union address and will speak primarily about job creation.
Growing the economy and middle class has always been one of the president’s highest priorities, according to White House press secretary Jay Carney in a press briefing Jan. 24.
According to White House senior advisor Dan Pfeiffer, Obama will lay out his plan to “grow the economy and strengthen the middle class.”
Obama will deliver his address at 8 p.m. Tuesday and his speech will be broadcasted live at whitehouse.gov with pop-up graphs and special annotations.
Following the speech, Obama will make numerous visits across the country to outline his “efforts to help the long-term unemployed.” The president is set to visit the General Electric gas engines factory in Waukesha, Wis. Thursday.
