The University of Wisconsin-Madison released a statement Monday saying that all classes taking place before noon Tuesday will be canceled due to inclement weather.
Campus will remain open, and all classes scheduled after noon will still occur, though professors may choose to cancel at their own discretion and will notify students via email.
Campus dining halls will close early Monday night at 11 p.m. and pizza delivery will end at 8:30 p.m. for participating locations. Additionally, dining halls will not reopen Tuesday until 9 a.m.
Students should also be aware that the SafeWalk program will not operate Monday night.
The Transfer Student Welcome Dinner Monday at 6 p.m. at Union South has been canceled and has been rescheduled for Feb. 5 in Varsity Hall, Union South, according to the release.
The university urged students and faculty to limit their time outside and to dress appropriately. Any employees who cannot arrive to campus should contact their supervisors, according to the release.
Any cancellations of student events or activities will be posted on www.wisc.edu.
