With the University of Wisconsin-Madison 2014 Spring Commencement ceremony approaching, the university released a revamped commencement guide website Thursday.
According to the release, the site reflects the changes “necessitated” by this year’s decision to hold a single large ceremony for all bachelor’s and most master’s candidates in Camp Randall Stadium in place of four separate ceremonies at the Kohl Center, according to a university release.
On the website, graduates and guests can find information about the ceremony, such as weather policy and a list of frequently asked questions. According to the release, UW-Madison will update the site throughout the spring semester beginning in late February.
“We are excited to offer this bright, dynamic site to our graduates, their families and friends,” Allison Golden, assistant chief of staff to Chancellor Rebecca Blank, said in the release.
The ceremony changes also follow a shift in commencement management activities from the Office of the Secretary of the Faculty to the Office of the Chancellor.
MFA, doctor and professional degree candidates will graduate May 16 at the Kohl Center, like previous years.
