Michelle Zahn, a businesswoman from Juneau, announced Thursday her candidacy for the 13th Senate District of Wisconsin.
Zahn is a mother of three and has served two terms as the president of the Juneau Chamber of Commerce and also owns The Soap Lady, international mail order soap-manufacturing company. She is keen to bring her experience to the 13th Senate District and to the rest of the state economy, according to a statement.
“I have heard over and over that businessmen and women across the 13th Senate District are tired of the same old politics dragging Wisconsin’s economy through the mud,” Zahn said in a Thursday release. “It’s time for a fresh perspective and I look forward to sharing my experience as a business owner and as a mother to the state Senate.”
