Following their announcement as finalists for the position of University of Wisconsin-Madison Arboretum Director, Kayri Havens, Steven McNulty and Donna Paulnock will visit campus to speak to the public beginning Wednesday, according to a university press release.
A committee composed of six members and headed by botany professor Don Waller selected the finalists, according to the release.
Havens, whose research focuses on plant species conservation, reproductive ecology and native species’ reactions to changing climates, will give her campus presentation at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Room 184 of Russell Labs at 1630 Linden Dr., according to the release.
McNulty studies regional-level effects of acid rain, water use and the loss of carbon sequestration due to hurricanes by looking at processes at the ecosystem level. He will present to campus March 4 at 11 a.m. in Russell Labs’ Room A228.
Paulnock’s research centers on the relationships between infections and host cells within the immune system. She will present March 7 at 10:45 a.m. in Room 1111 of the Biotechnology Center, 425 Henry Mall.
