The University of Wisconsin-Madison Couples Lab is recruiting people for two relationship studies, according to a report.
The lab is conducting a dating study of students between 18 and 25 years old and an empty next study, both to be finished by the end of the summer.
Lauren Papp, a Department of Human Development and Family Studies associate professor, started the UW Couples Lab in 2007.
Papp said in the report relationships influence friendships, academic success, financial stress, substance abuse and other areas in students’ lives.
“The idea is to get a better understanding about what our closest relationships mean in our day-to-day lives,” Papp said in the report. “We know that how relationships are going holds important consequences, especially for young adults.”
