State Rep. Mike Endsley, R-Sheboygan, announced in a statement Friday he will not seek re-election to represent the 26th Assembly District.
Endsley’s political career began with his election to the Assembly in 2010. He is currently serving his second term in the state Assembly.
In his most recent term, Endsley served as chairperson of the Assembly Committee on Aging and Long-Term Care and vice-chairperson of the Assembly Committee on Small Business Development.
Endsley lauded the Legislature's achievements during his time in office, according to the statement.
“Together, we have championed legislation that wisely utilizes taxpayer dollars and promotes the elimination of waste, fraud and abuse in government programs,” Endsley said. “It has been a true privilege to serve alongside my legislative colleagues and Governor Scott Walker.”
Endsley also thanked his family and community in the statement for their trust and support.
