The University of Wisconsin-Madison announced the launch of its fourth Massive Open Online Course Wednesday.
MOOCs are online courses available to professors and students around the globe, offering virtual learning and teaching experiences through videos, readings and interactive forums.
Globalizing higher education and research for the ‘knowledge economy’ aims to “explore the shifting practices, programs and policies of higher education and research in an increasingly global era,” according to the release.
Kris Olds, a geography professor at UW-Madison, and Susan Robertson, a sociology of education professor at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom, have constructed the course over the past year.
