Wisconsin will welcome Duke to the Kohl Center on the second day of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge, according to a Sports Illustrated report. The pairings will be officially announced Thursday afternoon.
Both teams are widely projected to be preseason top-five. Wisconsin returns nearly every player from a Final Four team, and has seen junior center Frank Kaminsky and sophomore forward Sam Dekker named possible All-Americans by ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
Duke lost All-American freshman forward Jabari Parker and sophomore forward Rodney Hood to the NBA draft, but bring in what is considered the best class of freshmen in the country. The group is highlighted by the consensus No. 1-overall recruit, center Jahlil Okafor, and consensus top-point guard, Tyus Jones.
This is the first time since 2009 the Badgers have played the Blue Devils. That year, Wisconsin came away with a 73-69 victory, also in Madison and for the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
