University police arrested 19-year-old University of Wisconsin-Madison student Douglas Gill on charges of third degree sexual assault and false imprisonment, according to a Monday UW Police Department incident report.
The female victim reported the incident Saturday, stating she had been sexually assaulted in her Southeast residence hall room May 2. She said in the report Gill had been drinking alcohol and snorting cocaine before entering her room and committing the assault.
UWPD started the investigation Saturday immediately following the victim’s report and took Gill into custody several hours later, booking him into the Dane County Jail on tentative charges, according to the report.
