For their 2014 campaign Partners in Giving is putting into effect a new online pledging system that allows employees in Dane County to donate money through payroll deductions or credit cards, according to the organization’s website.
Partners in Giving is a volunteer-driven, Dane County-based workplace campaign that seeks to streamline the donation process. It accepts money from donors and then forwards it to a participating charity chosen by the donor.
The new process has made donating easier and more efficient, DoIT Communications Director Brian Rust said in a university press release.
“It took me three minutes,” Rust said in the release.
Among others, employees of the University of Wisconsin, UW Hospitals and UW Clinics all participate in Partners in Giving. These three organizations alone raised approximately $1.5 million in 2013.
Since its birth in 1973 as the State Employees Combined Campaign, Partners in Giving has raised $66.7 million for charity.
The campaign ends on Nov. 28.
