All streets that intersect State Street in Madison will be closed by 5 p.m. Saturday for Madison’s Halloween festival, Freakfest, including West Gilman, West Gorham and West Johnson streets.
Freakfest, sponsored by Madison brothers Larry and Fred Frank of local concert-promoting company Frank Productions, is the annual Halloween celebration in Madison that takes over State Street. The musical line-up is set to include the bands American Authors and The Mowgli’s on the Gilman Stage as well as Atmosphere playing on the Capitol Stage, according to the festival’s website.
East Gorham Street traffic will be directed onto Blair Street and traffic from West Johnson Street will be redirected onto Bassett Street. Detours will be in effect until around 2 a.m. on Sunday morning.
