With Wisconsin’s statewide election 12 days away, state Rep. Brett Hulsey, D-Madison, reemerged into the political sphere as he announced a write-in campaign as an Independent, according to a release.
Hulsey ran against Mary Burke in the Democratic primary for governor. After losing, he released a statement Aug. 12 pledging his support for Burke.
Hulsey is running on a platform focused on job creation, outlining a plan entitled, “Get Wisconsin Working Again.” Other issues important to Hulsey are public education and environmental policy, he said in the release.
“If it appears that I am helping re-elect Gov. Walker at the end, I will pull out,” Hulsey said in the release.
