After nearly three years of work and re-evaluation, UW-Madison will continue developing a human resource redesign project with campus input sessions this fall.
The HR Design plan was first formally introduced in the fall of 2012 to restructure the university’s current system and implement a guideline of HR practices. The initiative did not reach fruition, however, and still faced resistance from faculty and staff in the 2013-’14 school year.
Oct. 30, Nov. 3 and 4, the campus community will be able to continue discussion on the ongoing redesign project and gain insight on what is included in the projected changes, according to a UW release.
Each session will feature break-out workshops focusing on the four main components of HR Design: Fair Labor Standards Act and Employee Choice, Performance Management, University/Classified Staff Grievance and Appeal Policy and Workplace Flexibility Toolkit.
