The UW-Madison Police Department is currently investigating a sexual assault reported Monday, according to a UWPD incident report.
The aggressor committed the assault in a UW-Madison residence hall shortly after midnight Saturday morning, according to the report.
UWPD encourages any persons with information pertaining to the case to contact (608) 264-COPS.
Members of the UW-Madison community were made aware of the assault Tuesday through an email notice sent out in accordance with the Clery Act, a federal measure requiring university campuses to disclose reported crimes in a timely manner.
