Madison drivers commuting via the 300 block of West Dayton Street between North Henry and North Broom Streets will have to use detours starting Thursday, Jan. 22, according to a city of Madison press release.
The block, which intersects with State Street, will be closed due to construction activity from J.H. Findorff & Son Inc. and their subcontractors, as they dismantle a crane.
Along with the 300 block of West Dayton Street, the 100 and 200 blocks of North Henry Street will also be closed, according to the release.
Officials anticipate the street closures to last from Thursday through Sunday. Sidewalks on the south side of West Dayton Street will remain open, and impacted residences, as well as the Overture Center parking garage, will remain accessible from the west.
