Madison police arrested a 21-year-old man, who allegedly attacked two men on the 600 block of State Street on Friday, according to an incident report issued by the Madison Police Department.
The suspect, Revell L. Scurlock, is suspected of causing a disturbance outside a State Street bar an undisclosed amount of time before the attack, which occurred at 1:23 a.m.
The two victims said that they “were punched in the face and knocked down after encountering an angry suspect," MPD Public Information Officer Joel DeSpain wrote in the report.
After the first man was attacked the second called 911 before he was also assaulted. One of the men was transported to a hospital, needing stitches.
Scurlock was arrested for substantial battery, battery and disorderly conduct, according to the report.
