With 2,813 votes collected and a 7 percent voter turnout for the Associated Students of Madison Spring Election, 39 UW-Madison students were elected to represent various ASM positions.
Student Council filled 29 new representatives from different colleges and graduate schools on campus, ranging from one student in the School of Business to 12 students for the College of Letters and Science.
Erin Harper reclaimed her spot and earned the majority vote among those appointed to the Student Services Finance Committee, which oversees students fees.
Andrew Hipke was elected as senior class president, along with students for vice president, treasurer and secretary. Although separate from ASM, their role is to consult with administration regarding commencement activities.
Despite earning 14 write-in ballots, Frank Kaminsky did not receive a majority vote to sit on Student Council as a College of Letters and Science representative.
