Woman struck by car at North Park and University

An unknown driver hit a 19-year-old woman as she was crossing North Park Street at the University Avenue intersection on campus early Saturday, according to a Madison Police Department incident report.

The victim described the vehicle as a “burnt orange, boxy” and smaller version of an SUV, MPD Sgt. Minh Duc Tieu wrote in the report. The plates of the vehicle, which is similar to a Honda Element, are unknown.

The victim’s injuries were minor, and she was transported to a local hospital following the incident, according to the report.
