A swinging good time
Madison Swing is hosting a Blues Dance Workshop Friday in Memorial Union. You don’t need a partner to swing and the event will start with the basics so there is no experience required.
Can you a ca-believe it?
The BadgerThon A Cappella Showcase is bringing together student a cappella groups from the UW campus to sing top hits, oldies and some Badger favorites. The event takes place Sunday at Memorial Union and tickets are $15 but proceeds go toward American Family Children’s Hospital.
Settle in for popcorn and a movie
This weekend The Marquee is stocked with hit movies including “Pitch Perfect 2,” “Magic Mike XXL,” “Tested,” “Women in Avant Garde,” “The Overnight” and “The Return of the Living Dead.”
Not to toot my own horn
Trumpeter David Cooper and his quartet are in town to play some jazz. They will will be performing at Memorial Union Friday.
Free concert
Joe Hertler & The Rainbow Seekers with Vundabar will perform Friday at the Sett for an evening of indie-rock.
