Gov. Scott Walker announced his selections Friday for three new members of the UW System Board of Regents.
Tracey Klein and Bryan Steil were appointed as citizen members, with Lisa Erickson serving as a non-traditional student member.
Klein is on the UW-Madison political science department’s Board of Visitors and the Board of Advisers for Marquette University Law School.
Steil is corporate counsel at Regal Beloit Corporation, a Wisconsin manufacturing company, and has previously served as a legislative assistant to House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Janesville, in Washington, D.C.
Erickson is a student at UW-River Falls, pursuing a degree in journalism and a minor in food sciences. She also writes a weekly food column and is a counselor at Tri-County Life Care Center.
Walker appoints 16 of the 18 members on the Board of Regents. Fourteen of the Regents are citizens, serving seven-year terms, and two are students, serving two-year terms.
