Dane County Executive Joe Parisi announced Thursday he will appoint Carlos Pabellón as the new Dane County Department of Administration director. Pabellón has served as the interim director since June 2015.
Pabellón has been a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association since 2006 and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
“Carlos Pabellón brings hard work, intelligence and strategic vision to Dane County,” Parisi said in a press release. “Carlos has a passion for public service and desire to defend the public’s interest. Carlos has the right experience, is a proven problem solver and is well respected by his colleagues, employees and management.”
The purpose of DOA director includes administrative services such as finance, payroll, risk management and others. Pabellón will also be responsible for overseeing the annual budget. Dane County authorized $567,424,146 in expenditures and the capital budget authorized $40,478,400 for 2016.
The Dane County Board must approve the appointment before it becomes official.
