Davonte King, 21, turned himself in Tuesday after the Madison Police Department had spent a month looking for a suspect related to shots fired Feb. 19.
A concerned citizen called in the original report, after reportedly seeing someone fire one round in the direction of a car quickly speeding away from the 2300 block of Hoard Street. Other calls were made to MPD about the same incident, including one that claimed to hear an argument before the shots.
MPD put out information about King, including his description and reported vehicle, after finding out his identity. After learning of the search, he turned himself in. King was arrested on charges of first and second degree reckless endangering safety.
The two felony charges could put King in jail for more than 20 years if he is convicted.
