Wisconsin’s all-time leader in rushing touchdowns found himself in legal trouble once again this weekend, as Montee Ball was arrested on a felony bail jumping violation, according to WKOW. This comes two months after he was arrested on a felony battery charge in early February.
According to the report, Ball had a court order to not consume alcohol or enter a bar, and police encountered the former running back at a tavern in Whitewater, Wis. Authorities tried to issue a breathalyzer test, but Ball refused. Officers then sought and received a search warrant to draw his blood. Ball was released on a $1000 cash bond.
The 25-year-old spent most of the 2015 season on the New England Patriots’ practice squad, but the team released him following his February arrest. This second arrest likely diminishes any chances he had of getting back into the NFL in the near future.
