The UW-Madison Police Department sent out a campuswide alert to students late Thursday night warning them to stay away from the area around Memorial Union.
The UWPD has received two reports of a man with a knife on campus grabbing women. The suspect was described as muscular and he was reportedly wearing a black long sleeve shirt and red and white sneakers, according to the alert. He was last seen heading toward Memorial Union.
The women he grabbed are currently reported safe, according to a tweet by UWPD.

The UWPD no longer believes the suspect is in the area near Memorial Union. The UWPD and Madison Police Department are still searching for the suspect as of 11:50 p.m., according to UWPD Public Information Officer Marc Lovicott.
