Wisconsin’s Wednesday home doubleheader against North Dakota State has been cancelled due to forecasted poor weather, according to a UW press release.
The Badgers (8-5-1 Big Ten, 23-17-1 overall) will now begin their longest home stand of the season, hosting Illinois (5-9, 25-18) for a three-game series beginning Friday afternoon.
Fresh off a week in which it won four Big Ten games, UW looks to continue its momentum.
“This has to have been one of the best weeks in Wisconsin softball since our staff’s been here,” head coach Yvette Healy said in a Monday press conference. “To go 4-1 on the week and win two big ranked games at Minnesota and then the series at Iowa, it was just a fun, unbelievable week for this team.”
Friday’s game at Goodman Diamond begins at 4 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday’s games begin at 1 p.m.
