Pro-Trump PAC attacks Hillary Clinton’s health in latest ad

A pro-Donald Trump organization launched a new ad in the state Monday, taking on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and her recent diagnosis with pneumonia.

The Reform America Fund launched the seven-figure ad this week. The commercial aims to discredit Clinton’s eligibility by focusing on events that the Super PAC says undermines her trustworthiness. These events include her health concerns and a scandal surrounding her use of a private e-mail server.

“Americans don’t trust Hillary Clinton to tell them the truth because of her record of lies, scandals and misuse of power,” Reform America spokesperson Chris Martin saidin a statement.

The ad plays on Clinton’s name, saying “C is for classified emails she’s hiding,” and “ C is for cash as in pay to play,” to support the commercial’s main arguments.

Clinton’s email scandal has been a major part of her campaign this election season. While serving as Secretary of State, Clinton sent thousands of classified emails over a private, unsecured server.

The ad also highlights concerns over Clinton’s health. During a 9/11 anniversary ceremony in New York last week, Clinton suffered from what was reported as “heat exhaustion,” and later found to also be diagnosed with pneumonia. A video was released that showed Clinton being helped into a van after her knees appeared to buckle and collapse.

Both Clinton and Trump have responded to health concerns in recent days, as both candidates have since released health records showing their condition.

The ad campaign comes ahead of the first of three presidential debates, the first of which begins Sept. 26.
