The Yahara Hills Golf Course will open its disc golf course to the public for winter disc golfing starting 12 p.m. Monday.
After a meeting with the Mad City Disc Golf Club, city officials began working to open courses for the winter, according to a city press release. Park Ranger Ben Jackson, who is a disc golfer himself, designed the course. He worked with Don “Duster” Hoffman to design the course, according to the release.
“It was an honor and a privilege to work with Duster, one of the industry’s top disc golf designers and a pioneer of Wisconsin disc golf,” Hoffman said.
The course is pay-to-play and features 18 holes. The Yahara Hills course is intended to be open through the spring, complementing the schedules of the Hiestand and Elver Parks’ courses. Those courses will close Tuesday.
