Gun fired in East Gorham Street apartment

A man found in his downtown apartment Wednesday night reported someone had put a gun to his head, according to Madison police.

Officers were called to the 10 block of East Gorham Street around 8:40 p.m., Madison Police Department officer Kimberly Alan said in an incident report.

The victim, who suffered a blunt force forehead injury, had been overheard shouting, “He put a gun to my head!” Police found a bullet casing on the counter and a bullet hole in the ceiling of the apartment.

“At least two persons left the scene prior to officers arriving,” Alan said.
MPD Violent Crime Unit is leading an investigation on the incident. Anyone with information can call Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 608-266-6014.
