A congressman who represents Madison and its surrounding areas will come to UW-Madison’s campus to talk to students Thursday.
U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Wis., will “discuss his work in Congress and field questions on issues important to students, faculty and Dane County residents,” according to a press release.
Pocan is a progressive Democrat and an outspoken opponent of President Donald Trump.
The town hall will be Pocan’s fifth since the start of the congressional session in January, and his second in Dane County. Pocan also conducts digital town halls via Facebook Live.
The event will be held in the Lake Mendota Room at Dejope Hall from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
