An alleged drunk driver struck a pedestrian in downtown Madison Saturday night, causing “significant injuries.”
The driver, 36-year-old Donisha L. Odom, hit the pedestrian on the 600 block of University Avenue, according to a Madison Police Department incident report. The incident took place at approximately 10:24 p.m.
After Odom hit the pedestrian, she allegedly continued driving before being located soon after. The pedestrian, who had been attempting to cross the street, suffered “what appears to be significant injuries,” Lt. Timothy Radke said in the report.
Odom was arrested for operating while intoxicated causing injury.
