This weekend, Badger fans will be able to jump around in the heart of campus when College GameDay comes to town.
Before the Wisconsin Badgers take on the Michigan Wolverines to compete for their eleventh consecutive win, the popular ESPN show which films at a different college campus every week will broadcast live from Bascom Hill. Here’s what you need to know:
In their seventh time coming to UW-Madison, ESPN’s pregame show will air from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the kickoff at 11:05 a.m. at Camp Randall Stadium. Admission to watch College GameDay is free.
Plan for early arrival, as lines are expected to form to gain close access to the stage. More importantly, at 5 a.m., those in the front of the line will have access to “The Pit,” a fan area behind the College GameDay set.
Early birds should not plan on pitching tents or using sleeping bags, since the Wisconsin Administrative Code bars camping on campus.
The last time College GameDay came to town was Oct. 15, 2016, when the Badgers challenged the Ohio State Buckeyes, ultimately losing in overtime.
