An 18-year-old who allegedly entered UW-Madison residence halls twice and took photos of women inside bathrooms is set to go to a mental health facility.
At his competency hearing, a judge determined that Larry Seidl, who was arrested twice in two consecutive weekends, should get mental health treatment for 12 months at a local facility. If he is still not deemed competent to stand trial after that time, charges against him will be dropped and he will become a ward of the state, according to Channel 3000.
If he is deemed competent, he could still face charges, not only for the incidents in residence hall bathrooms, but also for grabbing a woman’s rear end on State Street and for following a woman into a high school bathroom.
Seidl is not a UW-Madison student.
