Goldfarb announces resignation from SSFC

Representative Max Goldfarb resigned from the Student Services Finance Committee Tuesday after sitting on the committee for a year.

Effective immediately, Goldfarb said he would be unable to provide his time and efforts toward SSFC in the coming semester. He ensured that he remains supportive of SSFC’s initiatives and aids the committee in their search for a new representative.

“I will be pursuing other opportunities to continue the forward momentum in my development as a student, human being, and a member of the University of Wisconsin-Madison community,” Goldfarb wrote in his official resignation letter.

Looking back at the previous year, Goldfarb acknowledged the committee’s success in allocating 55 million dollars in segregated fees to university services. In late April, he shared his deep appreciation for the hard work of the committee members in a Facebook post.

“I am truly proud of everything we accomplished and am excited to jump right back in the fall, yet I am certainly looking forward to taking a few months of from politics,” Goldfarb said in the post.
