Wednesday marks the deadline to register to vote for the midterm elections by mail or online in Wisconsin. After Oct. 17, you can only register at the clerk’s office or at your polling location on election day, Nov. 6.
You must provide proof of residency in order to register to vote if you choose to do so by mail or in person.
Voters who register to vote online must be able to match their name, date of birth, Wisconsin Driver License or State ID number and address with the Wisconsin DMV.
Nov. 1 is the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot by mail, and Nov. 4 if you are requesting the absentee ballot in person.
All ballots must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 8 p.m. on election day.
