A woman was attacked early Sunday morning at Langdon and North Carroll Street, according to a UW-Madison crime warning.
The incident, which took place at 3:22 a.m., left the woman battered, according to Madison Police Department. She was taken to a Madison area hospital shortly after the attack.
The woman was not acquainted with the male attacker. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, according to MPD.
There have been additional patrol resources sent to Langdon Street in wake of the assault.
The police are currently urging anyone with information about the attack or the suspect to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers.
