UW Credit Union has contributed a total of $200,000 to the Chancellor’s Scholarship Endowment Fund, which aims to support students from minority or culturally disadvantaged backgrounds.
Contributions from UW Credit Union of this level ensure generations of students receive needed financial support to continue their education and attain their academic goals.
The Chancellor’s Scholarship Program was established in 1984 to bridge financial gaps and to increase educational opportunities for high-achieving underrepresented students at UW-Madison.
Since 2008, UW Credit Union has contributed more than $1.7 million in total to scholarship funds at UW-Madison, benefiting 225 UW-Madison students.
Chancellor Rebecca Blank tweeted out her appreciation for UW Credit Union saying, “deepest gratitude to UW Credit Union for supporting students to achieve their academic goals at UW-Madison.”
