Almost 95 percent of all absentee ballots have been processed in Madison as the Dane County Clerk releases unofficial election results.
Democratic candidate Joseph R. Biden Jr. is well in the lead with 77.1 percent of votes while President Donald Trump tails with only 21.2 percent of votes.
Ald. Samba Baldeh, who represents District 17 on the Madison City Council, also appears to have won the election for State Assembly to serve as the District 48 representative. He is currently polling at 81.1 percent over Republican candidate Samuel Anderson.
Other notable results include Francesca Hong polling at 87.2 percent for District 76 in the State Assembly and Sheila Stubs polling at 98.7 percent for District 77.
Both Madison Metropolitan School District Referendums 1 and 2 passed with over 70 percent of the vote, now allowing the district to exceed its revenue limit and issue bonds to pay the cost of building and facility improvement projects.
With the polls closed at 8 p.m., Madison poll workers have counted 98.5 percent of returned absentee ballots. Total turnout is currently reported at 157,536 or 82.4 percent.
