Drugdealer

Coming soon to campus: Drugdealer and Sammy Rash

Don’t miss out on your chance to see them before they blow up!

Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD) Music is offering a variety of exciting concerts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Union South this month. In the past, artists featured in this concert series included 100 Gecs and Fun. This is a great opportunity to find an artist to brag about seeing live “before they were big.” The shows are available for free to all Badgers hanging out at Union South on Nov. 11 and 18.

Drugdealer is a Los Angeles indie rock outfit fronted by art school drop-out Micheal Collins. The band’s muse is an iconic 1970s sound with soulful vocals and warm synths. Fans of vintage legends James Taylor or The Eagles will not want to miss this. Drugdealer will be joined by singer-songwriter Reverend Baron, who has a serene, lonely style that is the perfect backing track to a relaxing night out with friends. The artists are putting on a free show at The Sett in Union South on Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. Be sure to drop by and soak up the mellow vibes as you grab a bite to eat.

The following week, WUD Music has another treat in store. They are hosting TikTok sensation Sammy Rash. The up-and-coming pop singer has a style that fuses catchy R&B melodies with indie guitar instrumentals. His biggest hits include “summer&cigarettes” and “lead me on,” which blew up on TikTok with an “open verse challenge.” Sammy Rash challenged fans to add their own flair to his hit by singing their own verses alongside him. Badgers have an opportunity to catch his show at [The Sett] on Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. Don’t miss out on your chance to see this rising star live!
