The White House announced President Joe Biden will visit the Madison area this upcoming Wednesday to tout his economy and jobs plans, the Associated Press reported Friday.
Biden’s visit will come just hours after he delivers the 2023 State of the Union speech to the U.S. Congress, which will air live on major TV networks at 8 p.m. CDT on Feb. 7, according to ABC News.
The White House’s announcement follows an employment report released Friday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The report found the U.S. added 517,000 jobs as the unemployment rate fell to 3.4%, the lowest measure since 1969.
