The University of Wisconsin-Madison Police Department (UWPD) released statistics following the Wisconsin Badgers’ 35-14 victory against Georgia Southern on Saturday at Camp Randall Stadium.
A total of 21 fans were arrested during the game, 16 of them UW-Madison students.
UWPD issued 21 citations, all to UW-Madison students. Seventeen of these citations were for underage drinking, with the remainder for disorderly conduct, trespassing, entering a playing surface or throwing hard objects. This marks a fivefold increase in citations from the Sept. 2 season opener against Buffalo.
Twenty-nine people were ejected from the game, and 21 of those ejections were UW-Madison students.
Paramedics were called five times during Saturday's game, a marked decrease from the 36 incidents reported during the season opener.
Three individuals were contacted with a BAC of .20 or higher, up from one person found at the last game.
Camp Randall Stadium was at 94% capacity during Saturday’s game — down from the sold-out venue for the Buffalo game, according to ESPN.
