A water main break on Randall Avenue caused Union South restrooms and some restaurants to close Monday afternoon.
The water break occurred around 2 p.m. Monday. Water could be seen spouting out of a crack in the road on Randall Avenue.
Signage at entrances to Union South, one of two student union buildings at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, indicated that restrooms were closed at 2:30 p.m. after water was shut off.
A representative for Madison Water Utility was not immediately available for comment.
