Harris to make Friday campaign stop in Madison

Vice President Kamala Harris will hold a rally in Madison on Friday to shore up support in Wisconsin, a key swing state.

Vice President Kamala Harris will visit Madison on Friday for an evening campaign rally to shore up support in Wisconsin, a key battleground state, ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

This will be Harris’ fourth visit to Wisconsin since the start of her campaign in July and part of a series of visits to the “blue wall” battleground states, including Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Support for Harris is growing in Wisconsin, according to a recent Marquette University Law School poll. The poll, taken before the Sept. 10 presidential debate, showed Harris leading former President Donald Trump by four points among Wisconsin voters.

Harris’ visit follows the campaign’s “New Way Forward” tour, which began after the debate last week and is focused on mobilizing support from swing state voters. This tour will hold a series of community events over the next four days.
