An armed robber displayed a knife to a victim at Memorial Union Wednesday night at approximately 9:30 p.m., according to a University of Wisconsin-Madison Police Department crime warning sent Friday.
The suspect and victim are known to each other, and neither are affiliated with UW-Madison, the warning said.
The robber attempted to steal the victim’s backpack and showed off the knife when the victim tried to retrieve the backpack, according to UWPD. The suspect then fled the scene.
UWPD is investigating this case.
