Interested in joining The Daily Cardinal? We are always accepting new reporters, graphics artists, columnists, podcasters, photographers, copy editors and social media extraordinaires! 

All positions have flexible time commitments and allow you to build your portfolio, receive feedback, publish and promote your work.

Not to mention, our staff have gone on to work at the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CBS, ESPN, The Onion, NPR, NBC, 60 Minutes and much, much more. Cardinal Alumni have also earned 20 of UW's 26 Pulitzer Prizes. If the Cardinal was competing with other universities in the nation, we'd be 5th in the Big Ten and in the Ivy League.

We hold recruitment meetings at the beginning of each semester, attend the student org fair and offer training for new staff. If you are joining later in the semester or during the summer, please fill out the form below to get started!

Fall recruitment meetings: Friday, September 15, at 4 p.m in 2142 Vilas

Student Org Fair: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on both Tuesday, September 12 and Wednesday, September 13
