The undefeated, No. 1 ranked Wisconsin Badgers (4-0) will face off in back-to-back matches against the unranked Rutgers Scarlet Knights (1-3) at the Wisconsin Field House this Friday and Saturday. To recap both teams' seasons thus far, Wisconsin has swept Purdue (2-2) and Illinois (2-2), while Rutgers was defeated by Northwestern (2-0) and split their series with Indiana (1-3).

Unranked Illinois (2-2) put the first blemish on No. 1 Wisconsin’s (4-0) record, pushing them to 4 sets on Saturday 27-25, 25-20, 21-25, 25-12. In their toughest match of the season so far, the Badgers were able to pull together a win by dominating the final set.

Over a year after facing another team, No. 1 Wisconsin (2-0) returned to the court this weekend and are living up to their preseason ranking. The badgers swept No. 13 Purdue (0-2) in three sets in both their Friday and Saturday evening matches.

No. 1 Wisconsin (2-0) pulled off a second three-set win Saturday night against No. 13 Purdue in the Fieldhouse tonight, but the match wasn’t as frictionless as the night prior. The Badgers came out of the gates with high energy on and off the bench after last night's win against Purdue. Hoping for a repeat performance, the Badgers were able to beat the Boilermakers in three sets, but with more difficulty.

While the cheers in the Wisconsin Field House were fake, the energy on the court as the Badgers swept the Boilermakers in three sets last night was very real. No 1. Wisconsin (1-0) defeated No. 13 Purdue (0-1) 25-14, 25-15, 25-16 by playing big at the net and staying consistent in their passing game.

After a COVID-19 related delay to their fall season, there is lots of excitement surrounding the Badgers’ return to the court this year. While there may not be any fans at the Wisconsin Field House this Friday to watch their first match of the season against Purdue, Badger fans are sure to be tuning in, hoping to watch their first-ranked team dominate the court.

History was made at the Wisconsin Field House on Wednesday night, as the No. 13 Wisconsin Badgers Volleyball (7-4 overall, 3-0 Big Ten) team recorded their 1,000th program win. What a win it was, as Wisconsin defeated No. 5 Penn State (9-3 overall, 2-1 Big Ten) in dramatic fashion, coming from behind after dropping the first set to the Nittany Lions.

If you just looked at the box score, you might have thought that the No.13 Wisconsin Badgers (5-4 overall, 1-0 Big Ten) cruised past the No.15 Purdue Boilermakers (8-2 overall, 0-1 Big Ten) without much difficulty. The Badgers swept the Boilermakers on three sets, and all advanced stats were slanted heavily in the Badgers favor.
