My roommate suffered a collision with another car while riding a motorcycle over the holidays.
I love my life here on campus. I’m also very committed to succeeding in school. When I left for college, my Dad told me an old joke: “Sleep, studies, social life—pick two.” Well, that seems pretty accurate to me: I can’t sleep. When I try to get to sleep here at school, I start to stress out about my academics or feel antsy about not being out with my friends.
I’m part of a pretty tight-knit organization at my school, and I’ve been elected to be the social chair this year.
Since I left for college, my parents have told me that my grandfather has started to develop some health issues.
I’m ready to graduate in just about every way. I have a job lined up, a potential roommate, and big plans for my own space.
My family recently made the decision to move my grandmother to an assisted living facility.
My friends and I recently came up with what we thought was an awesome idea: a big group vacation over the summer.
I’d like the experts to back me up on something that’s really important to me. I’ve been having some issues with my friends here understanding something, and I want to be able to show them some proof that I’m right. My dad is in manufacturing, and he’s incredibly well-trained, talented, and well-paid.
Next summer, I’m going on vacation with my friends from here at school. It’s a long ways off, but I’m already stressing about it, and here’s why: my mother is going to drive me nuts. No, my mother is not going on this vacation with my college friends (that would be weird). But I’ve been on vacation without my dear mother before, and she does not handle it well.
I’m lucky to go here. It’s a great school, the campus is beautiful, the professors are brilliant, and I know I’ll be better off for having been here.
I’m going to graduate this year, but I don’t think I’m quite ready to settle down and work in an office somewhere.
When wintertime rolls around, it’s always hard to motivate yourself to get up and work out. You want to be cozy and warm in your bed, and Netflix is impossible to turn off.
After Thanksgiving “break,” which is just another excuse for professors to pile on the homework, comes everyone’s favorite time of year.
A little over a month ago a new streetwear apparel boutique called August opened on State Street.
Craving a full plate of authentic, tasty Mexican food? Look no further than Taqueria Guadalajara.
Contrary to Starbucks’ updated menu and the premature release of the holiday coffee cups, the next holiday to look forward to is not Christmas.
Wisconsin native turned modeling success Jaylin Carlson never expected the career she found. “It was like I was living for myself for the first time, and I quickly learned how to fly,” she says as she reflects on her journey to New York City.
Every November, we all experience the same routine. The alarm ruthlessly wakes us up, and after burrowing deeper into our warm and comfy beds, we look through the window to the sun hiding behind a thick cloud.
The changing leaves and crisp air have those on campus reaching for comfy sweaters, stopping in at the nearest Starbucks to grab a Pumpkin Spice Latte and cozying up near the fire while watching Sunday Night Football games.
